Ruler and coodinate display

Rulers
Sprint Layout offers rulers on top and on the left of the editor. The scale units may be switched between inch (I) and millimetre (M) with the push button between the rulers. (Also available from the OPTIONS item of the main menu.) The current mouse position is marked for better orientation.

Coordinate display
Coordinate displayThe current mouse position is displayed in the left corner on bottom of the editor. The units of the display correspond to the rulers units.

Origin
Normally the top left corner of the editor is the origin of the coordinates. The origin is indicated by a blue point. You may drag & drop the origin to another position, which may be helpful for calculation of distances. Click to the blue point, hold the left mouse button down and move the origin to the desired position. Coordinates will refer to the new origin immediately.

If the origin is not visible in the actual view, you can set it like this: Click with the right mouse button on the desired position on your layout and select SET ORIGIN from the local popup menu.

Tip:
When moving the origin it will be captured to the grid. Hold the CTRL-key of your keyboard down, to reach positions that are off the grid.
