Using the clipboard

The well-known functions of the EDIT item of the main menu refer to the clipboard and may be performed on selected objects:

  • Cut
  • Copy
  • Paste
  • Duplicate

These functions are also available from to toolbar on top of the editor.

Cut Cut
Copies the selected elements to the clipboard and removes them from the layout.

copy
Copy
Copies all selected objects to the clipboard. The source objects remain in the layout.
paste Paste
Adds the contents of the clipboard to the layout. The pasted elements "stick" on your mouse cursor. You can place them with a single click.
DuplicateDuplicate
Performs COPY and PASTE in one single step.

Note:
Everytime you copy elements to the clipboard, Sprint-Layout copies these elements to the global windows-clipboard too. Other programs can then paste these elements from the clipboard. The Windows-clipboard uses the EMF-format (Enhanced-Meta-Files).
The importing software must support this format.
